The Mental Corner is where we will take up a part of the mental game of baseball. I see it all the time, great players that are mental midgets, who can't break through the glass ceiling and get out of their own way. As Yogi Berra said it, "this game is 90 percent mental and the other 50 percent is in your head." There are so many things we can learn from the mental side of the game that can make us all better. We can take a B+ player and make him an A+ player through the mental process and we can take an A+ player and make him an all star. Thinking the right things is a huge part of this game, even at a young age, we can teach our young players to mentally develope their skills as well as our mechanics. Mechanics are such a huge part that sometimes we miss out on the feel and the mind in baseball. I will do my best to take up different parts of the mental game to help with all age players. There is so much more to it than what we can write down but we will give it a try. "A positive outlook and never-give-up attitude both require total belief in yourself and the ability to live with the outcome, whether good or bad." Unknown
